Basically, I have been doing a lot of research about mold and so forth, and I wanted to share all my information. So, from time to time, I will post about the most popular topics. Many people are interested in black mold because it’s dangerous so I will get into that. I will also write about the more fun and interesting mold information.

I look forward to any questions and comments you have.

Any ideas on how to remove personal items such as clothing, knick nacs etc safely from what is believed to be a contaminated area. I have been exposed to what I believe is SBS in my work/living enviroment and am going through the fight of Short term Disablity and Workmans comp, neither is ppaying at this time so funds are low, but everything I own is there. ANy suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

You really can’t get in there because it is too dangerous. If you really need your things try and get a friend that is willing to go in there, but make sure he/she is protected from head to foot and a mask is worn. Then only choose a select few items you NEED. After everything is fumigated Im sure you can get back in there.

Hello, I have a friend that lives three doors from me. The other day she called and said her paneling was full of holes, that looked like little nail holes all over her whole house. She thought it was termites, and called an exterminating co. They sid it was not from any bug. They came up with “old house spores”. There is no mold to be seen anywhere. We live in a mobile home park.Have you ever heard of this?

Both my roomate and I have become very ill..trouble breathing, spotty vision, heart palpitations, lightheadedness, fatigue, pain in the lungs, and just an overall feeling of toxicity in our bodies. Cladosporium was found throughout our airducts. We have since replaced the ductwork, put our stuff in storage moved out. Any advice on what we can do without belongings.. Or if we can even keep them? Still feeling bad too.. Any advice on that would be great as well.

Homeowner had deck washed by a professional. I stained the deck with Cabots oil based stain. A small amount of black spots appeared on horizontal surfaces. Homeowner spoke to cleaning professional, and he claimed that the stain caused the mold growth. Looking for articles or info regarding his statement. Homeowner wants me (the painter) to solve the mold problem-how?
